About Us

Coach Bill graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and has a Master's of Arts degree in Physical Education from the University of South Florida. He has been involved in fencing since 1983 and has been coaching since 1991. Coach Bill has worked at all levels with USA Fencing - Division Chair, Section Chair, Board of Directors, Fencing Officials Commission, and Elite Referee for the FIE - international fencing federation. Coach Bill has experienced many successes during his fencing career. He was a U.S. National Championship finalist in 1989, 1993, 2006-2010. In 2004, he was a member and coach of the Summer National championships Men’s Sabre Silver medal team and a member of the bronze medal Men’s Epee team. Coach Bill has over 30 National tournament medals and enjoys coaching students of all ages. He has coached many students to win national and international medals, including world championship medals. Coach Bill is also an international referee in Sabre and Foil as well as a head referee for national events.

Coach Lindsay is an experienced coach with over 20 years of fencing training. After fencing collegiately at University of California Santa Barbara, she has since coached in a number of clubs across the country including Salle Auriol Seattle, Temple University, Boston Fencing Club, Tim Morehouse Fencing Club, South Bay Fencing Academy and Elite Fencing Club. In addition to coaching, Lindsay is a certified international referee in sabre and foil, as well as a USFA certified referee instructor. Lindsay has worked nationally and internationally as a referee for USA Fencing for over 15 years, and works as one of the head referees for sabre at national events. She also works on the referee hiring committee for domestic national events and on the ethics committee. Currently, she serves as vice-chair of Grassroots Referee Development on the USA Referees' Commission.As a fencer, she is also the two time current Florida State Champion in Women's Sabre and the two time number 1 Div1A women's sabre nationally.
